Call in (by phone) and elevate the sr. It is most definitely supported
by Oracle.
...right, and make sure you have a VERY simple app that you are checking
(probing). Somethin very simple like a script that looks for the
existence of a single file in a directory and returns true if it is
there, false if not. Call it a "file monitor"..use that as your jumping
off point. I suppose I should blog this stuff.
