Call in (by phone) and elevate the sr. It is most definitely supported
by Oracle.

Subject: Re: 10.2 Clusterware with single instance failover?

I installed Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.1 successfully on RHEL5
I started the daemons ok.

I created the profile and registered the db application ok.

But when I tryed to use crs_start/crs_stop to start and stop the
application I got a CRS error message saying "Cant start/stop the
resource".

I opened a TAR with Oracle Support and I got an incompetent person who
after 4 days told me "is not supported by Oracle support".
There are 4 (four) white papers published by Oracle on using Clusterware
to protect single instance db/apps. It's hard for me to believe that
it's not supported by Oracle Support/Metalink!

Any advice on what to do next?

Thank you,
Carmen Rusu

Hi, has anyone used 10.2 Clusterware with OCFS2 on RHEL5 to get single
instance failover from one host to another?

I would like to ask some questions about it.
