Khayyan, When you connect to the database using sqlplus, does "Enterprise Edition" appears to the right of the database version? Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options JServer Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production SQL> If not, your database binaries are for a standard edition database. This is the actual binaries on disk, not what is on the database data dictionary. Also check note 225688.1 for the procedure to enable partitioning if got the enterprise edition binaries.
