Challenge for apps dba gurus - GSI

Dear all ,
Your valuable inputs are highly appreciated.
My company has operations in 10 countries ,each country has its own EBS
instance running on different versions and platforms.They wanted to move to
global single instance - which oracle has achived a few years back.
Need to know the inputs from you guys , the best approach to achieve this
,the challenges and pros and cons.
