[opendtv] Whiners and attention seekers

I think it is Bert who has been the whiner and attention seeker on this l=
ist (nothing better to do then this glorious spring?) and the frequent te=
dious tirades against Craig and others are unsupported by facts. Now that=
we know he hasn't even got an ATSC receiver. Please! But various people =
fall into the trap of taking Bert seriously and arguing with him: why bot=
her?. I do not have that problem and am not politically correct. In Europ=
e we have a word for people like Bert whi argue for the sake of argument,=
don't contribute to anything, and don't have either experience or facts =
behind them. Then we are less PC over here, but my old dad had a very goo=
d word for it. I leave it out for sensibility reasons

Kind Regards,

Dermot Nolan

This often seems to be the response when someone criticizes ATSC. But =

ATSC continues be be vulnerable to criticism because the repeated =

promises for improvement continue to be broken.

It is of course somewhat offensive to be called a whiny child. And is =

possibly somewhat stuffy to make such authoritative statements about an =

uncertain future. Not a good debating technique but maybe at least a =

way to bring uncomfortable topics to an embarrassed silence.

At least you didn't print in all caps. ;-)
