Hey, I didn't say they must make it illegal, only that I find it very
annoying. (And no longer necessary for technical and economic reasons)
While it may currently be a director's choice for aesthetic reasons I'd
be surprised if directors are still doing that 20-30 years from now.
24p will join film grain and monochrome as a cute effect to be used for
flashbacks and dreams.
If we really want to annoy people and remind them it is only a fantasy
then we might as well just put a crawling ticker on the bottom that says so.
