Maybe TiVo can teach Comcast how to design functional DVRs with user-friendly
menus. The Comcast HD-capable DVR-3 is a totally unreliable piece of junk.
Ours has proved incapable of actually playing back any recorded programming.
And
God forbid that you try to watch anything on Comcast On Demand. Images on
both legacy and "HD" content are unwatchable - when they are watchable at all,
because they are prone to protracted freeze-ups, dropouts, breakups, just plain
blank screen - or an encouraging message that "This program should be
available soon." You'll spend many sessions on the phone with tech support
trying to
get back to live TV. It's unbelievable that anyone could have designed or
approved rolling out a content delivery system so riddled with glitches.
