Some other tidbits. The HDMI to DVI cable did not want to work. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I think it is that the Accurian only supports "480i, 720p, or 1080i," as they say on the HDMI mode select switch. Whatever that means, it probably doesn't include my LCD panel's 1024 X 768 non-square pixel, progressive. So don't bother buying the ridiculously expensive cable unless you have a good idea that it's going to work. So I'm using component analog for the LCD monitor and S-video for the signal from the Accurian to the DVD recorder (which won't record true HD anyway.) The Accurian only has a basic on/off timer, not a proper channel select timer. So I can record as many DTT programs as I want -- but only from one channel at a time. Works really well though, with that limitation. Also, DTT stations, with the exception of ABC 2 Balt and Fox 45 Balt, have the annoying habit of not allowing you to zoom in on either letterboxed or letterboxed + pillarboxed shows. Those two stations, instead, permit zooming in their -2 stream, which is otherwise (as far as I can tell) a simulcast of the -1 stream. I have to say, HDTV is where I was wanting TV to be since I first saw TV. Finally an image that isn't inherently grainy, raster-y, and/or hopelssly marred by an obvious shadow mask.
