Hola Ricardo - pregunta - ¿qué quieres decir con esto?:

2. After, students answer comprehension Q's and switch spots every 1, 2 or 3
Q's. There were 12 q's for our story.

what do you mean by "switch spots"? do they find a new partner? switch roles
with existing partner?

Gracias!

Subject: [ola] Una actividad de lectura

I just had an amazing class and I wanted to share one of the engaging
activities that my student teacher and I presented. We used a short story from
the lit book, 21 minicuentos. You can purchase it on Teacher's Discovery
website (www.teachersdiscovery.com<http://www.teachersdiscovery.com/>)

1. Students pair up and read the story out loud and then negociate meaning
between each other for the vocab words they choose from the story, with their
partner. (for example: Que es un genio?)

2. After, students answer comprehension Q's and switch spots every 1, 2 or 3
Q's. There were 12 q's for our story.

3. Have the students tell their partner the story in their own words. Do and
repeat if you wish.

4. Finally, the teacher gives a short writing assignment. I included a picture
as part of the assignment.

I found this way of utilizing reading in the classroom to be highly effective.
Enjoy!
