Here is a reflection from a student I thought I would share. I asked them to
assess their commitment to speaking and learning Spanish over the past five
weeks.
What, specifically, are you doing outside of class to improve/practice your
Spanish?
Out of my class I use Spanish in my house talking to my mom, or in practice I
sing the Puedo ir al baño song or text over the phone a conversation in Spanish
just to confuse my friends with my Spanish vocabulary. I have shocked myself
with how simple and easy it has become for me to communicate in this new
language. I can actually get a point across and fully understand what some
people ask me or speak to me. I think that deserves an A because at the
beginning of the year I could not do any of this.
