So, careers / professions / the future etc. come up every year and I found
a great resource a few years ago called Carreras that the Oregon Employment
Department publishes aaaaannnnddd now it is also available digitally! It is
a magazine with an overwhelming amount of information which can be used in
a million ways to work on literacy in relevant ways. Facts from how many
people actually become pro athletes broken down by sport to what employers
are looking for in applicants and employees to information on a ton of
specific careers. Highly recommend and they will also send you hard copies
of the magazine if you prefer (the contact info is in the link below).
