Today at Coos Bay North Spit a medium large, brown falcon with heavy underarm streaking tore past on around the Snowy Plover nesting area. Certainly was not a Peregrine (no helmet) and was big and brown for a Merlin. We are left with the conclusion that it was a PRAIRIE FALCON, our second of this season.
