Folks,

We made a run up to McGuire Reservoir, west of Carlton today in search of
certain species, and we struck it rich.

At Mc Guire Reservoir we found:

1 COMMON LOON-a species we've found annually since 2009

1 Canada Goose on nest

2 Mallards

2 Hooded Mergansers

3 Buffleheads

1 Pintail

1 Pied-billed Grebe

4 Tree Swallows

1 Raven

On the road around the west side of the reservoir we found:

4 GRAY JAYS

1 N. PYGMY OWL

1 Band-tailed Pigeon

2 Steller's Jays

6 Chestnut-backed Chickadees

2 Red-breasted Nuthatches

2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets

1 Hutton's Vireo

12 Robins

The birds in all caps were new for us in the county this year.

Good birding, everyone,

Paul Sulllivan & Carol Karlen

McMinnville
