There have actually been 3 coastal Lesser Black-backed this
fall/winter- Tillamook (1st-cycle), D River, and Alan's bird
in north Lane County. This is after (I think?) only 1 prior
coastal record ever in Oregon. Due to changing arctic/subarctic
conditions, or general expansion of this species, or possibly
both allowing more birds to reach the central/north Pacific it may
become annual in small numbers along the coast in future
years.
