I spent a couple hours walking the loop west and south of the tower in the Fisher Butte Unit late this afternoon. I found the AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER about 300 yards south of the tower with a small flock of Black-bellied Plover. Two juvenile RUFFS were near the south dike about 150 yards west of the main (tower) dike. The SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER was just east of the west dike about 100 yards north of the south dike. I also flushed a female LAPLAND LONGSPUR along the west dike. A handful of WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were along the west dike as well.
