Hi - My apologies for not getting this out earlier. I tried to send a post from my phone thes morning, but I think it got lost. Anyway, at 9 AM this morning (Oct. 5) I found an immature male INDIGO BUNTING at Talking Waters in Albany. The bird was in the small alders at the southwest corner (near the parking area) of the complex. A second, paler bunting was also present, which I assume was a Lazuli, but I did not see it as well. The Indigo was mostly rich brown, including head and upperparts, with blue in the tail, particularly at the base. It also had a speckling of blue feathers on the belly. Otherwise, the round-headed appearance, size, dark conical bill, and posture were typicat of Indigo. Wayne
