45 minutes ago I was scanning the skies from home with my scope and was very surprised to see a single VAUX'S SWIFT flying around near my house in NW Portland. I got excellent looks watching it fly for about 30 seconds and it very clearly was not a swallow. This is the earliest I've ever seen one here by nearly 2 weeks. Andy Frank
