Folks,

We found the first Osprey of the year at the nest 2 mi W of Amity on the
Amity-Bellevue Hwy on 3-26-14 (the first one appeared there last year on
3-10-13).

We found the next Osprey at the southeast end of Grand Island on 3-27-14.

We found two Osprey at the nest 2 mi W of Amity on the Amity-Bellevue Hwy
and another single on the nest SW of the Brigittine Monastery on 4-1-14.

We still have a Rough-legged Hawk on Delashmutt Ln, SW of McMinnville as of
4-1-14. Carol also saw an eagle right in the sun.

Bale eagles are incubating on three nests that we know of in Yamhill County.

Kestrels are paired up everywhere. We saw a Peregrine on Stoller Rd, E of
Lafayette.

We saw silhouette swallows flying high around the bridge over the S Yamhill
River, 2.5 mi W of Amity on the Amity-Bellevue Hwy on 4-1-14. This is our
traditional spot for Rough-winged Swallows.

Good birding, everyone,

Paul Sulllivan & Carol Karlen

McMinnville
