That’s a strange GC Sparrow recording. I have heard thousands of them and the
third note is normally the lowest. They do vary quite a bit, though, with some
extra notes now and then. The one on the Sibley phone app sounds more “normal”
to me; maybe you know someone who has that.
In any event, GC Sparrows are usually north of Oregon by late June, though we
get some stragglers.
