I just found out why all those kids were standing out in the parking lot
in West Albany today:

This pins the time of our mockingbird sighting down to sometime a few
minutes after 10:16 AM.
Also I forgot to mention, there was a large GULL perched atop a tall
streetlight pole, unperturbed by the simulated subduction-zone
earthquake. Or did it fly inland to get away from the simulated tsunami?
