Very rainy most of today, cleared by 4:00 but nw wind at 20 made HQ pretty much
hopeless this eve. Of note at HQ three Ferruginous, five redtail and a TV
hanging on the wind, perhaps drying themselves. Sharp-shins at almost all sites
last few days, Cooper’s at some.
Imm. Red-shouldered Hawk was guarding the Big Tree north of Roaring Springs
Ranch.
On Thursday there were about 4,000 coots on Chickahominy. If weather is ok we
will do a better count tomorrow.
