We birded coastal Lincoln County today with out parents.
Bolier Bay, 8:10-10:40am:
2 Leach's Storm-Petrels
8 Red Phalaropes
1 Northern Fulmar
100 Sooty Shearwaters
6 Black-legged Kittiwakes
1 Ancient Murrelet
40,000 Pacific Loons (streaming S, hundreds per min.)
Yaquina Head, noonish:
diminishing flow of Pacific Loons
2 Ancient Murrelets
More Sooty Shearwaters
1 Red Phalarope
1 Harlequin Duck
Hatfield Marine Science Center, afternoon:
1 ELEGANT TERN roosting with Mew Gulls on a pier north of the parking
area. Are there any previous November records from Oregon?
