I'd guess that the Rustic Bunting was hanging out in Alan Contreras'
yard while he was in Colorado. Didn't he have one come hopping up on his
porch a few years back? Or was that a Little Bunting?
After he came back from Colorado, the bird must have slid over a few
houses -- probably to the yard of the nearest birder who decided to go
to Belize or Costa Rica for the winter.
