A Harris's Sparrow seen this morning at about 8:45 along Cantrell Road. Seen just past the triangular East Coyote unit sign past the intersection with K.R. Nielsen Rd. It was feeding along side of road then flew north into the under brush. The bird had a bright beak seemed more yellow then pinkish, gray head with black molting on head and throat extending to breast. Black occular spot. Clear breast. Brown streaked back and wing bar did not seem very distinctive. Legs appeared reddish in the sunlight. Sally Hill Eugene
