Just reading my digest form of OBOL, and saw Bonnie's post about two of five former Osprey nests having occupants. It reminded me that on March 29 I saw one Osprey perched on the cell tower in Willamette (between I-205 and the Willamette River); I'd been watching that tower, since for the past several years there's been a large and apparently successful Osprey nest on it. However, something or someone took that nest down over the winter. So the Osprey came "home" and there was no nest (I'm assuming it was one of the same breeding pair but obviously have no way of knowing that for sure). I'll be interested to see/hear if re-building is attempted (and if so, if it is allowed by the cell folks if that's who/what removed the old nest). Sandi Morey, NE Portland
