[obol] Crawling over broken glass to post bird sightings

Hi Bob & all,

Just to reassure you, the full context of your posting, including Alan's
mention of crawling over broken glass to get a banding permit, was clear
from the OBOL archives web page:

//www.freelists.org/archive/obol

which I think has nothing to do with Google.

I'm not sure what web service you are using (maybe ABA or Sialia?) but
the archives on freelists.org generally work pretty well.

That is, apart from from a few Oregon birders who seem prone to post in
ki-Swahili or ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, or who regularly post
messages that contain no content except to say, "This message was posted
by my iPhone."

Sometimes these come out in the next day's digest, sometimes not. But at
least Alan's postings come through, and those are the ones that count.
Especially for those of us who are waiting for a good Ross's x Snow
Goose hybrid recipe that doesn't call for cloudberry x lingon sauce.

Happy birding/kwaheri rafiki/добрый день,
Joel
