Subject: MS-ISAC SANS Training Purchasing Opportunity

To MS-ISAC members and all interested partners:

The next purchasing windows for SANS Securing the Human security awareness
training seats as well as OnDemand Training Courses and Voucher Credits will be
opening soon.

The dates for both have been extended and will run from June 1 - July 31, 2012.

As part of the MS-ISAC and SANS partnership agreement, we are offering this
aggregate purchasing opportunity for all state, local, territory and tribal
entities as well as related educational and non-profit entities. No other
windows for this training are planned in 2012.

(1) June-July aggregate buy purchasing window

Securing the Human:
Security awareness training program that includes 30 video modules covering all
security topics. You administer the modules that you want to use and whether
you want folks to be tested after each module. There is a reporting module for
your administrator to monitor progress and compliance. SANS updates the
content at least twice a year and keeps it current to address the latest
threats and critical controls. You can use it online through SANS Virtual
Learning environment or load the SCORM-compliant modules into your own learning
management system (same price).

Additional information on Securing the Human:

  *   List of all modules:
https://www.securingthehuman.org/services/demo-training-lab
  *   A 3 minute introductory video:
https://www.securingthehuman.org/services/awareness-training
  * Information on implementation, details regarding LMS implementations:
https://www.securingthehuman.org/support

  * Attached is a flyer that summarizes the opportunity as well as a FAQ of
common questions.
Securing the Human Pricing:
Up to 1,334 seats for 1 year: $2,001
Up to 1,200 seats for 2 year: $3,000
Orders above these numbers are at a straight cost of $1.50/seat for 1
year; $2.50/seat for 2 years

Associated electronic format newsletter, poster, and screensaver for each
module customized for your organization: With seat purchase $2500 Without
seat purchase $5000

OnDemand Technical Training Courses:
Group FlexPasses for OnDemand training, both long and short SANS technical
training classes will be available.

Pricing:
Long courses (4-6 days) cost $1000
Short courses (1-3 days) cost $500
 GIAC certification cost $549

When ordering you will need to indicate the number of long courses, the number
of short courses, and the number of GIAC certifications to go with the long
courses. Within one year of purchase, you will need to assign attendees to
specific courses and GIAC certification exams. Once an attendee is assigned to
a course (and GIAC), they have 4 months to complete the course followed by 4
months to complete the certification exam. A minimum order of $3000 is
required for all courses and GIAC combined.

Attached is a list of long and short courses to help you plan the number of
each that you want to order. Additional information about courses is available
at: http://www.sans.org/ondemand/.

Voucher Credits:
SANS credit that can be applied to any SANS training within one year. Minimum
of $5000 order. Additional bonus credits will be added to all orders based
upon the total aggregate voucher credit purchases by all entities. Bonus
credits will be between 10%-25% bonus credits depending upon the aggregate
total. Additional information on voucher credits is available at:
http://www.sans.org/vouchers/options/universal-credit.php.

Purchasing Process:
SANS has set up two MS-ISAC client portals for these procurements, one for
Securing the Human and one for OnDemand/Voucher Credits. Orders will need to
be placed separately and will generate separate invoices, however a single
payment can be made to SANS for multiple invoices. Payment will be due to SANS
by PO, credit card or check request during the purchasing window. For those
using a PO, payment will be due 30 days after the close of the purchasing
window. The Securing the Human client portal,
https://www.securingthehuman.org/programs/ms-isac, is available to register and
request test accounts only at this time. Both client portals will be fully
operational on June 1. At that time, a reminder email will be sent with more
details including the URLs.
