Dear OAGITM Members:

I'm reaching out to invite you to an upcoming Department of Homeland Security 
(DHS) security round table.  I am sending a separate invitation to the State 
CIO Council and the public universities in Oregon.

Oregon State University Open Source Lab is partnering with DHS and will host a 
Cybersecurity Round Table on May 6, 2012 at OSU's facilities in Portland.  The 
round table is an activity within with an exciting project focused on the use 
of Open Source Software to meet national cyber security objectives.  This 
includes program elements designed to educate and provide new resource at all 
levels of government, including state and local. Dr. Douglas Maughan, Director 
of DHS's Science and Technology (S&T), Cyber Security Division is the executive 
sponsor of the program.

On May 6th DHS S&T and other HOST program personnel will travel to Oregon to 
participate the meeting.  It is one of three round tables slated for this 
spring and summer (other locations include Silicon Valley and Austin Texas) 
designed to reaching out to government, industry, and open source community IT 
security leadership for a lunch, briefings, and round table discussion on this 
critical topic.  Please have interested parties RSVP to Judy Ivey at

limit of 30 maximum.

Where: OSU Portland Center,  Union Bank of California Tower, 707 SW Washington 
St., Suite 500
WHO: Government, Industry and Open Source community leadership and security 
personnel
COST: There is no cost to participate in the round table; your time and 
participation are highly valued
