First Responder Authentication Credential (FRAC) programs are growing across the country, and the standards and policies continue to develop. This two-day symposium brings together thought leaders, policy makers, and early adopters of FRAC to discuss these and related topics. Hear from Federal, State, Local, and CI/KR leaders on the most current information about these programs and future strategic direction. The Symposium's goal is to provide attendees with a forum to share knowledge, experiences and best practices with State, Local, and Federal colleagues on FRAC. Topics to be discussed include: * Update on Target Capabilities * PIV I Guidance for Non-Federal Credential Issuers * Cyber Security and FRAC Update * Convergence of Federal Programs to Achieve Interoperability * NIMS Credentialing Guidelines * NIPP Partnership Framework * Funding Opportunities * Return on Investment for FRAC Programs * Interoperability: what are the Inter vs. Intra State Requirements * Use Cases for Routine and non-Emergency Use Finally, the Symposium will explore several issues critical to State and Local expansion of these programs to provide recommendations back to our Federal partners. Symposium attendees represented a wide range of States including Illinois, Missouri, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. What past attendees are saying: "A void has been filled by this conference. We need this annually. The opportunities here are tremendous for states at all stages of FRAC rollout. We're building a bond with the other States in attendance and knowing I can call on them for help in this process is amazing. I will definitely be returning next year along with as many colleagues as I can find." -Eric Epley, Executive Director, Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council for Trauma (STRAC) "At the Denver FRAC Symposium the high altitude enhanced innovative thinking and promoted unprecedented collaboration. Lasting partnerships were formed and credentialing program development was advanced to new levels. The venue suited both technical and operational interests. Everyone walked away with a better understanding of the challenges and benefits of interoperable credentialing. The next FRAC Symposium is sure to be right on target!" -Mike McAllister, Governor's Office of Commonwealth Preparedness, Virginia "The opportunity to have an open forum to discuss how to move forward together is invaluable. In a day and a half we covered more ground together than any of us could have covered in a year working alone. Learning how to align Missouri's efforts with other state efforts and how we can interoperate with the Federal government would have been nearly impossible without attending this symposium." -David Finch, Special Assistant Homeland Security, State of Missouri "The opportunity to bring the national leaders and implementers of the FRAC systems together and learn from each other is a tremendous advantage. Because of the interactions, discussions, presentations and sharing of processes, I have been able to enhance the planning effort locally. Because of the symposium, I was able to learn from the other representative who had already accomplished some of the objective I have front of me." -Knox Walk, EMS Manager, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Paul DeCrisantis CoreStreet, Ltd.
