OAGITM Members: Many of you attended the OAGITM winter conference in early Feb. and had the opportunity to hear a presentation by special guests from the US Department of Homeland Security (US-DHS) (Kelvin Coleman), and MS-ISAC (Kristin Judge). Among the many services available, they mentioned the US-DHS provides a free Cyber Security Evaluation Program (CSEP)for state and local governments. To provide interested entities with an opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions, US-DHS has agreed to arrange a general information teleconference with Mike Leking from the Cyber Security Evaluation Program (CSEP). Mr. Leking oversees and conducts the NCSD Cyber Resilience Reviews (or audits). Some counties have already indicated an initial interest in the CSEP program. US-DHS is looking to cluster a series of reviews in Oregon to make the trip time more cost effective. The teleconference will help them to gauge the level of interest and feasibility for making this happen. Attached are some Cyber Resilience Review background materials to give you a better idea of what the program entails. If you want to participate in this teleconference, please advise Nancy Holbert in the state Enterprise Security Office (ESO) by Wednesday, April 4th - nancy.holbert@xxxxxxxxxxx . (Participating on the teleconference does not obligate you to use this program - it's just informational). We will then try to identify a date & time for the teleconference that works for the majority of folks. Regards, Theresa A.
