External Email. Use Caution.
Hello Fellow Administrators,
Have there been any evidence based trials showing harm from
corrugated Cardboard boxes?
Do the hoops we have to jump through cause more harm than the
benefits of getting rid of the boxes?
What is the science behind the JC’s ridiculous requirement?!!!
Thank You.

Subject: [nyschp.dop] Corrugated boxes in pharmacy - TJC issue?
Good morning!
How are hospital pharmacies without a receiving area outside the department
managing corrugated boxes in pharmacy and has the Joint Commission had a
concern over this? Corrugated boxes that arrive with medication in them from
the wholesaler or direct shipments from manufacturers into the pharmacy are the
main problem.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Sudha
