Hello Fellow Pharmacy Directors,
As everyone probably already knows there is a shortage of Bupivacaine with
dextrose for Spinals. We do have preservative free bupivacaine without
dextrose but is says on the bottle "not for spinal use." Does anyone know why
this can't not be used for spinals?
The company that supplies the spinal trays is no longer putting drug in them
because of the shortage.
We have ordered in Tetracaine preservative free for now.
What is everyone else doing? If you are getting Bupivacaine preservative free
with Dextrose, how are you getting it?
I copied my buyer on this email.
We appreciate any ideas you may have to share with us.
Thanks
Sandy
