Yes. You are right.
Japanese has same problem.
For instance, in Japanese, Candy and Rain are same pronunciation "Ame".
So, this feature also help us choosing right character to use when
writing Japanese documents.
With you and Jamie's explanation, now I think I can continue translating
this paragraph.
