Hi, thanks for your interest. For now I can't do this. But perhaps others can.
We can also consider that placemarkers add-on works also in Word. I suppose that we need to consider the fact that we can work in browse or focus mode in documents of this and other types with the add-on.
Also, placeMarkers add-on includes the possibility of saving strings of text to search (in the two directions, with or without case sensitive option), not just character positions.
In short, I don't know when this could be useful: if just when loading a web page, or when activating browse mode in Word, or what to do in multiline documents if there are saved strings to search, and what if in a browse mode document are both character positions saved and strings to search. And what to do if the option to read all the contents automatically is activated.
I don't know the summary option that you are mentioning.
Thanks.

Hello.
This is primarily directed to the developer of the place markers add on,
but perhaps to others who may be interested in implementing this.

I been taking advantage of the so called summary which another screen
reader provides. This makes it so that upon page loading the text where
the place markers are gets immediate attention and reading.
This is particularly handy where tracking constant changes are involved
such as in stock tickers, weather, scores, poles... etc.

I am wondering if somebody would be able to implement this behavior in
the place markers add on.
Better yet, having a browse mode like rendering of the summary for
copying or slow studying would even be welcomed as an additional option.

At the moment my skills at python are nowhere near where they would be
required to be to accomplish the development of these tasks.
But perhaps somebody out here would be sold on the idea.

Thanks in advanced.
