Hi, I agree with Joseph:
1. Firstly, imo the save position function can be useful, and also the
dialog to type a position and the other part of the add-on gui.
But, as I mentioned previously, Windows have a Mouse Keys feature in the
Ease Of Access, which allows even more directions than the arrow keys,
and it's possible to increase or decrease the mouse speed.
NVDA can move the mouse to different objects, that even can be reached
with the arrow keys. So I think that the original function of arrow keys
is more useful that the function that the add-on can assign to them.
2. Layered commands can't be assigned or changed in gestures.ini using
the NVDA framework, and input help is difficult to manage with a too
long message.

3. I think that the layered approach used in this add-on is similar to
PC Keyboard Braille Input for NVDA. In fact, you press NVDA+g and then
you can use the other key commands, without needing to press the NVDA+g
key each time, which is needed in instantTranslate.
See the add-on which I'm mentioning for more details.
Please, note that I'm talking about the add-on usage at this point, not
about the implementation. That is, it's implemented borrowing code from
instantTranslate (or SPL), but the usage is not the same.

Yes the user could forget that the layer is active but that's a their
problem, and be we could fix this issue by making the screen we are
under a short beep before anything happens. Similar to what we do for
capital letters when the user held down the shift key when caps lock
is on.
