It's a Windows error, not an NVDA one. Every time I uninstall the
Emoticons addon or try to update it and NVDA restarts, there's a foghorn
(which is the"Critical Stop" sound in my scheme. Mum said the error box
says that some Python dll could not be found and therefore NVDA cannot
start. This persists through restarts and the program will not
initialise with the ctrl+alt+n command. The only way to fix the issue is
to uninstall the current copy of NVDA and reinstall from the portable
copy. I don't know where to look to read over these error messages while
NVDA is working.

seems to be doing, but I still don't want to unintentionally break

place. It's consistent on my system so there must be something that's

came over from a portable copy made on another machine, but if the

aren't in appdata/roaming/nvda/appmodules because of this, then is it
possible trying to uninstall an addon would cause this problem? If the
data's stored somewhere else because of it being packaged somewhere
different in the portable version...
