Hi Brian and all,

Try the newer version of the add-on (0.2):
http://files.nvaccess.org/nvda-addons/speechPlayerInEspeak-0.2.nvda-addon

This one will not override anything on the normal eSpeak synthDriver.

SpeechPlayerInEspeak however will still have the pronunciation issues itself as this is cearly a bug in eSpeak 1.48.13.

Subject: [Nvda-devel] Edward voice now in an add-on

Hi all,

For those who liked the Edward voice (or sample 3 in the speech
synthesizer survey), I've now made an add-on which provides this voice
for NVDA.

Download it from:
http://files.nvaccess.org/nvda-addons/speechPlayerInEspeak-0.1.nvda-addon

We're still not too sure yet what we will officially do with the work
done so far. But at least as an add-on it can get wider usage and
testing on official builds of NVDA.

In short, this add-on is eSpeak, but with speechPlayer doing the klatt
synthesis generation internally. And an eSpeak variant called Edward.

Also note that this add-on contains eSpeak 1.48.13 (the latest dev build).

Please test with different languages. It is possible that some eSpeak
languages may need improving to work better with Klatt. Though these
improvements should be done in the official eSpeak, as the official
eSpeak does have support for Klatt.

Enjoy
Mick
