Informal and after school educators are also encouraged to attend. Participants will receive a Free BEST lab materials kit and training from Intrepid's STEM education programs. BEST meets many of the standards associated with the Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, State Science Content Standards and the IB International Baccalaureate program. Participants will have the opportunity to work with NASA scientists and engineers, create a network with STEM educators and receive NASA/BEST certification. NASA's Beginning Engineering, Science and Technology, or BEST, activity guides bring the principles of engineering alive to younger audiences. The content in the guides can be used to supplement curricula during the school day or as activities for after-school clubs. Educators may use the materials as a set or as individual activities Registration is limited and is open to all US citizens.
