The deadlines for our Summer Research Programs are approaching, so it is
important to start gathering the application materials and to submit your
application. Please take a look at the following programs:

The Summer Research Opportunities Program
(SROP<http://osu.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=39038225385d82983c3c2081c&id=c01bfd583a&e=62095cd9f1>)
at Ohio State is designed to help historically under-represented students
explore opportunities for graduate study and academic careers.

The departments of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry at the Ohio State
University will host a Research Experience for
Undergraduates<http://osu.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=39038225385d82983c3c2081c&id=566928f7aa&e=62095cd9f1>
sponsored by The National Science Foundation during the summer of 2013.

The NSF-funded Center for Emergent Materials (CEM) Research Experience for
Undergraduates
program<http://osu.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=39038225385d82983c3c2081c&id=a8ae30139e&e=62095cd9f1>
focuses on fundamental and applied science of exotic and novel materials and
next-generation electronics that move toward a new generation of
low-power-dissipation high-density electronics.Successful REU applicants will
be paired with a faculty mentor from a core CEM department (Physics, Materials
Science & Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Chemistry) and
will perform experimental or computational research projects aligned with CEM
focal areas.

Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI) Undergraduate Research
Program<http://osu.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=39038225385d82983c3c2081c&id=f850a6a055&e=62095cd9f1>
is an NSF-funded program to introduce students to exciting new areas of
mathematical biology, to involve them in collaborative research with their
peers and faculty mentors, and to increase their interest in mathematical
biology. The program consists of three parts - each including a mix of
educational and social experiences.

If you have any questions or need more information about any of our programs
please email me at hernandez.16@xxxxxxx<mailto:hernandez.16@xxxxxxx> or call
(614) 292-2642. I will help you in any way I can.
