A service of the Northern Neck Audubon Society---
Greetings:
At the November 7 meeting of the Northern Neck Chapter of the Audubon Society,
local naturalist Teta Kane will explore the various ducks that visit the
Northern Neck. There are lots ducks here on the Northern Neck, particularly in
the fall and winter. They come here for shelter and for the culinary delights
found in our waters. But how do we identify the individual species and where
they like to hang out? Teta’s presentation will provide a good overview of
identification tips. Also discussed will be the plight of duck species that
are declining in our area. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the
amazing life of ducks and how to actually identify them!
The meeting starts at 3:15 PM on Monday, and it is open to the public free of
charge. The meeting and program will be held at the Lancaster Public Library,
Kilmarnock, Virginia. You are subscribed to the NNASnet, a birding hotline
