My sentiments also about the needless killing of the local bobcat. It was a
spectacular specimen.

How beautiful. I am still seething about the pic in the Record about the guy
who hasn't seen a bobcat in 60 years, and the first one he sees thinks that
the best thing to do is kill it!! What is with these people? and then the
paper displays it mid page. I have had a small flock of hoodeds but no
buffleheads yet.Last year I had a lot of scaups as well, but so far none

and Patty have been on bird walks with us. They are on Swanview Drive...and

I first saw buffleheads in my cove on Monday (after being away for 5 days).
There was a flock of 19 in the cove this morning. There is also a pair of

The bald eagles are hanging out around their nest. And my little screech
owl is back roosting in the purple martin bird house down by the dock! This
is the 3rd or 4th year he's been here. He seems to have a lease on
apartment 1-A.
