Sometimes a legacy can make an unusual turn in the road. Vince Lombardi
ruled with an iron will when he coached professional football teams. His
words are on the walls of locker rooms of sports teams to inspire supreme
effort. His words were also heard today over the air waves of many public
radio stations. Live from Bemidji State University, the words of Vince
Lombardi blanketed the air waves on the program known as "A Prairie Home
Companion" which is hosted by Garrison Keillor. The words chosen from the
famous coach were sung by a chorus which performed them using the musical
form known as a madrigal.
