Subject: [WWWEDU] Chat with Joy Hakim Wednesday
Joy Hakim, author of "Freedom: A History of US", will be our special
guest in the TAPPED IN Social Studies forum this Wednesday (February
26). TAPPED IN is located at http://www.tappedin.org. Time for this
special session will be 7:30 p.m. Eastern, 4:30 p.m. Pacific time. We
will have a short informational meeting, and Joy will begin answering
questions a half hour later.
Also joining Joy for this session will be Philip Kunhardt, of Kunhardt
Productions, who produced the PBS series based on Joy's book, and Dyllan
McGee, senior producer for Kunhardt Productions. Annalisa Loeffler,
deputy director of outreach for WNET will join us also to demonstrate
related teaching resources on the "Freedom" web site.

we'll feature the PBS series "The Perilous Fight: America's World War II
in color" in the Social Studies forum. Producers of the series, as well
as representatives from KCTS, Seattle, which produced the series, will
be joining us.
Special time for this forum will be 8:30 p.m. Eastern (5:30 p.m.
Pacific) time.
As always, TAPPED IN help desk personnel will be on hand to assist new
users. It's recommended that new users log in at least 10 minutes prior
to the session for assistance.
