Incidentally, Stuti was formed in 2009,
when some music lovers from
Panjim, St Inez and neighbouring areas,
professionals in varied fields
but motivated by a deep love for music,
came together to "do something
for our beautiful Goa through choral music".
It is named after the Konkani word for *praise*.
.
In 2009-10, Studi performed in Saligao,
Chinchinim, Aldona, Margao,
Porvorim and Panjim under the
direction of Nauzer Daruwalla and Nigel
Dixon. It is entirely a labour of love.
Members meet every Monday and
Wednesday at the Kala Academy's
Rehearsal Hall from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.
.
This was the first concert for Stuti
in the year 2011. According to
information released here, it will be
performing in Bangalore on
December 15, 2011, in a Christmas
Music Festival being organised by
the *Deccan Herald*, alongside Mumbai's
famed Paranjoti Choir, and
other performers from Pune, Kolkata,
Bangalore...
.
