I'm guessing that this worn one seen on 7/1 is also velleda. If so, it must
have been flying in June.

These are the first ones I've ever seen so I can't comment on whether or not
this is normal for my area.

I agree that this looks like velleda. Does it usually fly as early as July in
the south? Here on LI it might be found as early as early September, but more
typically late September and early October.
