Tell them your price range and that you're interested in Macro Photography . I bought a Nikon for one Grand kid and a Kodak Sure Shot for another . Both were within your price range if I remember correctly. They both get pretty good macro photos , but I'm partial to the Nikon. I'd check on Canons also, but I think they're pretty expensive. You're a little light, money wise, for real good macro photography , but you'll be able to get some decent shots. Paul
