I appreciate the input from everyone on my moth. It was back again last night,
still on the back side of the sheet.

      Hi Harry,
It appears to be the 'dark' morph of the Major Sallow Moth, Feralia
major.
This dark form usually lacks any green coloring.
See picture by Larry Line in Bob Patterson's ID'd Moths.
         Hope this helps,
      Lance

This moth came to the back side of my sheet last night. I have provided
two photos woth one having more loght added for detail. I am thinking
Noctuidae, but I am not sure of the ID. It somewhat resembles Ulolonche
niveiguttata, 10575, but I have no record of that moth in NC. It also somewhat
resembles Feralia major (Major Sallow), 10007 but it is not green enough. I
hope someone will recognize the moth.
