I received the following e-mail yesterday and I really hope one of you can help her out! It is from Seabrooke Leckie, co-author of the new Peterson Guide to Moths of the Northeast that will be coming out later this year. (I can't wait!) Please write her back directly and attach any of the three species that may help her out. The book is in the FINAL stages so they need these photos ASAP. Thanks, everyone! Lori ************************************************************************************** Hi mothing friends, We recently had one of our photographers retract their permission allowing us to use a couple of their images in the moth guide, because we required permission for both print and e-book, and they only wanted to provide print. So we're looking now for a couple of images. I was hoping one of you might have what we need, and would be willing to give us permission to use it in the guide. The species are: 7046 - Nemoria bistriaria - Red-fringed Emerald (orange spring morph) 6666 - Lomographa semiclarata - Bluish Spring Moth (dorsal view, wings flat/open) 7719 - Anisota senatoria - Orange-tipped Oakworm Moth (male) We had a devil of a time finding a photo for the oakworm, and anticipate simply dropping the plate image and rolling the species into the text for Pink-striped Oakworm under similar species. But we'd love to find a photo if we could. We need these in the next day or two if possible. Let me know if you have one (or know someone who does) that you'd be willing to let us use. You can send it to me at canadianowlet@xxxxxxxxxx Thanks in advance! -- ----- Lori Owenby St. Stephens/Riverbend Park Ranger Catawba County Parks Conover, NC "The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness.
