I've only touched Endian once or twice and it was a long time ago. You
may have to assign allowed address(es) or subnets allowed to access the
admin page. My guess on the ping is that it just blackholes all ICMP
packets. Seems way to many firewalls or admins disable pings for stupid
reasons. It only makes trouble shooting things much harder.
