Then the next question would be: if I get a PAL format tape from UK, 
can I get it copied to a DVD in London so that it will run on a N 
American DVD player, as I understand that N A and UK DVD s are not the 
same? - we didn't have these problems with the old fashioned vinyls 
(sp?)
